On April 10, students from the Port Logistics Technology program had an enriching experience in the El Morro parish as part of the first day of the Raíces Marinas: Culture and Sustainability project. This initiative aims to boost local tourism through the revaluation of its attractions and the promotion of environmentally responsible practices ♻️.

The activity included educational talks on spill prevention and proper waste management, in addition to generating spaces for dialogue with the community, strengthening environmental commitment and the exchange of knowledge between generations 🌊.

During the day, the objectives of the project and the actions planned for the coming months were also shared with the residents of El Morro.

The tour was led by MSc. Tadea Quintuña, career coordinator; Eng. Manuel Suárez, project director; and Eng. Gilson Jiménez, academic tutor.

From FIMCM, we celebrate the enthusiasm and commitment of our students in this proposal that intertwines culture, sustainability and local development.
